The IFSC Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic established in 2007 is now located in the Custom House Square Medical Centre, having previously operated in The Clarion Hotel IFSC.
Physiotherapy involves the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain and injury including ligaments, muscles, tendons, bones, joints and nerves. Aoife Harvey MISCP is a fully licensed Chartered Physiotherapist. She graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy, from St George’s University of London in 2006. In 2012, Aoife completed her master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, in UCD. Her thesis examined current physiotherapy assessment and treatment approaches for the management of tennis elbow. She also enjoys treating a wide range of problems including neck pain, whiplash and chronic low back pain to sports specific injuries such as muscle / ligament tears, anterior knee pain and shoulder dysfunction.
As an accomplished and dedicated physiotherapist she continues to keep up to date with the ever changing body of scientific evidence, to provide her patients with the most up to date treatment approaches. Aoife has also completed a number of accredited post-graduate courses including dry needling, myofascial trigger point therapy, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, cognitive behavioural therapy, lower limb biomechanics and has all the accreditations necessary to prescribe prescription orthotics. Aoife is currently a committee member (education officer) for Chartered Physiotherapists in private practice. Aoife is also a qualified pilates instructor and teaches weekly classes in the IFSC.
